Kido acquires montessori nursery in London
Business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of St Patrick’s Montessori Nursery School in Waterloo, London.
St Patrick’s Montessori Nursery School is a children’s day nursery with a fantastic reputation for high-quality childcare, an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating, and a great staff team in place that has worked at the nursery for many years. Based within London’s Zone 1 area, just 0.2 miles from Waterloo station, this nursery is ideally positioned for commuting parents both coming into London and those who live in the area.
The nursery was brought to market to allow its owners, Mr William and Mrs Elizabeth Angus, to pursue a well-earned retirement and has been purchased by Kido – a high quality group of nine nurseries spread across London and the home counties.
Speaking on behalf of the company, deputy CEO, Mr Philippe Sachs, commented:
‘We are honoured and humbled that William and Elizabeth chose us to continue on with St. Patrick’s rich history. We love the nursery, its teachers and the wonderfully supportive parent community and look forward to the day when we can once again take full advantage of its proximity to South Bank and all its lovely activities.’
Sophie Willcox, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, added:
‘I am delighted to have worked for William and Elizabeth on the sale of their nursery. We were inundated with interest and received a number of offers due to its excellent location and reputation and I feel Kido is the perfect fit to carry on William and Elizabeth’s legacy.’
St Patrick’s Montessori Nursery School was sold at an undisclosed price.
