Expert nutrition training from Early Start Nutrition
Early Start Nutrition provide award winning nutrition training to help your setting achieve nutrition excellence.
Our team of expert registered nutritionists support early years practitioners to build their knowledge and confidence of nutrition requirements for under 5’s.
Why choose Early Start Nutrition Training?
As winners of the 2020 NMT Nursery Training and Development award, we
understand the important role nutrition plays in your setting. Based in a nursery
setting, our team is familiar with the daily food and drink requirements for early years
provisions. We see first-hand the range of parental questions about their little ones
dietary requirements and how to support those that may be picky at mealtimes.
We’ve used this knowledge to develop online training, across a range of nutrition
topics, to ensure practitioners are confident to put nutrition at the heart of your
practice.
Our training is in-line with the EYFS framework
The revised EYFS sets out a number of requirements to ensure your setting is
supporting children’s health and well-being. Here are some of the key messages:

drink - keep children safe and well by making sure food is prepared appropriately for
children’s age - good oral health is incredibly valuable and it’s important to plan foods and

Let’s take a look at the feedback from early years practitioners
Fussy Eating – October 2021
I found this course useful. I got to learn about different reasons why children may be
fussy with food and how to help them and parents/ careers overcome these to
promote better eating habits.
Oral Health Promotion – September 2021
I found this course extremely useful and helpful – Thanks! I found it especially useful
how the course gave hints and tips on how to encourage good oral health habits in
children.
Menu Planning – July 2021
I have found menu planning really helpful and I can put this into practice when
reviewing the nursery menu.
Food and Nutrition for Infants – September 2021
I am a parent of two and I already had some ideas about Nutrition and food but I am
amazed that I’ve learnt lots of new information about infants nutrition. As an early
years practitioner I’ve gained very important knowledge about baby foods, feeding,
drinking, where to signpost and from where I can download information. Now I can
confidently continue any discussion regarding infants nutrition and I’ll use this
information in my sessions. This course is very very useful for me.
