Aberdeen-based apprentices flourishing at nursery whilst studying
Bright Horizons is celebrating its apprentices in Scotland as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, taking place from March 1st to 5th this year.
This includes Ishbel Finch who is studying for her Social Services Children and Young People SVQ Level 3, whilst working at 24 St Swithin Early Learning and Childcare in Aberdeen.
Speaking about her experience, Ishbel stated:
‘My apprenticeship has allowed me to gain more knowledge and further develop within my role in the nursery. I have found it a great balance between studying and learning on the job.’
Lisa McCarrol, nursery manager, said:
‘Ishbel is our superstar apprentice. It is great watching her learn new skills and put them into practice with the children. She has worked really hard to gain this qualification and should be very proud of herself.’

Another promising apprentice is Ophelia Wood who is studying for her Social Services Children and Young People SVQ Level 3, whilst working at The Treehouse Early Care and Education Centre at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
Regional manager Fiona McQueen, added:
‘She works really well as part of our team and is progressing really well.’
