Work begins on new Bright Horizons nursery in Purley

The new nursery, set to be located on Whytecliffe Road North, will create more than 30 jobs and offer 101 places for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery will be split into seven individual rooms with each room catering for different age groups.  Latest learning equipment and resources will feature throughout, as well as a children’s learning kitchen, art studio and dedicated growing enhancements area all featuring in the state-of-the-art setting. Its garden will include play structures as well as a woodland area, helping to inspire young minds with the outdoors and building a love of nature.

Anne Sheldon, operations director, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming families to our nursery in Purley when it opens later in the year. In the coming months we’ll start to see real progress on the renovations and changes that we are making to the building. A key priority for us now is with our recruitment drive. We have over 30 positions to fill and we’re keen to get the right team members on board to ensure that our nursery will offer children an environment where they can flourish.”

All Bright Horizons nurseries offer a pioneering curriculum known as Bright Beginnings that focus on children’s emotional wellbeing as the key to learning. The curriculum is designed to acknowledge the individual voice and needs of each child to promote confidence, wellbeing and a genuine love for learning. It features “loose parts”, encouraging children to play freely with everyday items, whilst being supervised at all times, to enable them to develop creativity, solve problems and make connections in their learning.

More than 30 jobs will be created as part of the nursery opening. For more information on opportunities available at Purley Day Nursery and Preschool then please visit our careers page at https://jobs.brighthorizons.co.uk/
