Woodlands Day Care in Surrey sold
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Woodlands Day Care in Surrey.
Woodlands Day Care is a ‘Good’ rated, family-run nursery with capacity for up to 69 children aged zero to four years. The business occupies two converted residential properties in the affluent Surrey town of Oxted.
Previous owners, Dean and Miranda Walker, began their careers in childcare over 25 years ago when they started a childminding business and found that they enjoyed teaching and caring for children so much that, when it came to expanding their business, they decided to turn their house into a nursery, and so Woodlands Day Care was born in 2011. Since then, the setting has gone from strength to strength, and now boasts an excellent local reputation and an experience staff team.
Dean and Miranda recently decided to sell to permanently move abroad and enjoy an earlier retirement. Following a confidential sales process with Christie & Co, Woodlands Day Care has been sold to a national nursery group.
Sophie Willcox, director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, commented: “Woodlands is a unique opportunity with an excellent reputation, and yet another example of a quality freehold nursery making the most of the buoyant market and selling at the right time.”
Woodlands Day Care was sold for an undisclosed price.
