Wonderbloom Nature Nursery is the second setting for the local independent nursery group, which is inspired by the forest school approach and Montessori education.

It is set to open its doors to families in Sheerwater, Woking where the nursery will offer a unique and enriching learning environment for children aged 2-4 years old. Wonderbloom is designed to provide children with a range of learning experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence.

Being inspired by the forest school approach, which emphasizes outdoor play and exploration, will be integrated into the curriculum, giving children the opportunity to explore the natural environment and develop their physical and social skills. One huge benefit being that the nursery is located directly on Sheerwater Recreation Ground, giving children endless opportunities to explore nature.

Wonderbloom Nature Nursery: A Montessori approach

In addition to the forest school activities, Wonderbloom will also incorporate elements of Montessori education, which emphasizes hands-on learning, self-directed play, and individualised instruction. The curriculum is designed to foster a love of learning and help children develop a strong foundation of skills and knowledge that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Wonderbloom’s speech and language approach is another key element of the nursery’s curriculum. The approach is designed to support children’s language development and communication skills, which are essential for their overall development and future success. Wonderbloom’s speech and language practitioners will work with children and families to identify any communication difficulties and provide tailored interventions to support their language development.

Wonderbloom Nature Nursery will offer full-time places for children aged 2-4 years old. The nursery will be open from late Spring 2023.
