The Old Station Nursery Group acquires Wiltshire nursery
Sixpenny Day Nursery & Pre-school, a single site nursery in Roundway, Devizes, Wiltshire, has joined The Old Station Nursery Group.
The first Sixpenny Nursery in Devizes was founded in 1989 in the village of Nursteed, before moving to the new, purpose built setting in Roundway Hill Farm in January 2012.
Previously owned by Kate Easter, the nursery specialises in outdoor learning and play. The setting offers all year round care to families and is well recognised in the community for providing support and quality care to all children.
Sarah Steel, chief exec of The Old Station Nursery Group, commented on The Old Station Nursery Group’s latest acquisition saying:
“On behalf of The Old Station Nursery Group, I would like to warmly welcome all of the parents, carers, children and staff to our nursery family. We are really looking forward to meeting all of the children, parents and staff members at the nursery in the coming months.”
She continued, “at The Old Station Nursery Group, we strive to create brighter futures together, by providing the very best learning environments to our children, working closely with our parents and having well experienced and passionate nursery teams. We are delighted that Sixpenny Day Nursery & Pre-school shares our aspirations and we very much look forward to working closely with the teams to share best practice and to continue innovating everything that we do.”
On joining The Old Station Nursery Group, Kate Easter commented:
“Sixpenny has provided outstanding care for many years and I am delighted that The Old Station Nursery Group shares our passion to continue everything we love about Sixpenny. I am confident the nursery is in good hands and will continue to provide a nurturing learning environment for our children.”
