Private nursery in Surrey sold
Caterpillars Childcare in Farnham, Surrey has been sold.
Established by Rebecca Harraway in 2016, Caterpillars Childcare is a ‘home from home’ private nursery which provides care for up to 43 children aged from babies to 5 years. The business operates from a single storey detached property which has benefitted from much investment over the years including, most recently, a new garden. It also boasts a purpose-built outdoor play area that is equipped with safety surface flooring.
Mrs Harraway decided to sell to focus on other career opportunities and, after a confidential marketing process, the business was sold to a first-time buyer duo.
Sophie Willcox, director, Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, commented:
“I am delighted to have found the right buyer for Rebecca to carry on her legacy. The setting upholds an excellent reputation and an experienced staff team which make it the ideal opportunity for a first-time buyer.
“The 2022 nursery market is shaping up really well so far, with demand for leasehold and freehold good quality nurseries being the highest we have ever seen across the South in recent years.”
Caterpillars Childcare was sold for an undisclosed price.
