Oldham nursery sold to Bolton owner
The owner of Zahra Day Nursery in Bolton has acquired Sunny Smiles Day Nursery in Oldham, following a confidential sales process with specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
Sunny Smiles is a day nursery rated Good by Ofsted, with space for up to 75 children under the age of five. The nursery was established by Pamela Gordon in 2020, who recently decided to sell to seek retirement. Christie & Co said the nursery boasts consistently strong occupancy levels through repeat custom and word-of-mouth referrals. Sunny Smiles has been purchased by Zahra Day Nursery‘s Wajahat Baloch.
Sofia Beck, director – childcare & education at Christie & Co, said: “I’m so pleased to have helped facilitate Pamela’s exit plan and to assist Wajahat complete on the purchase of his second setting. We have experienced yet another busy year of successful transactions and, as it draws to a close, we see no signs of the market slowing down. October saw an unprecedented level of day nursery transactions completing and, this month, we have seen a solid increase in new business instructions and offers accepted.”
