Nicola Fleury recognised in King’s Birthday Honours list

Nicola Fleury, managing director of Kidzrus Nurseries, has been recognised in King Charles’ first Birthday Honours for services to early years education and for her inspirational work to the whole Salford community

A member of NMT’s advisory board, Nicola has continually voiced the important part early years education has to play in a child’s development and has gone above and beyond to deliver those services to those in her community and further afield that needed the help.

When the war in Ukraine began the UK saw an influx of refugees. many of whom were children. Nicola and her team made sure that those families were welcomed with open arms into the community and the nursery settings. She spoke on BBC to raise awareness for the families and was a familiar face outside of work, sharing care boxes with food and supplies.

Born in Broughton, Nicola will attend a ceremony in the coming months to be invested by a senior member of the Royal Family.

Speaking to NMT, Nicola said: “I’m absolutely overwhelmed and truly humbled to receive the honour and incredibly proud.  It was amazing to receive the news some weeks ago.”
