Early years education group N Family Club has announced that Simone Carter will join its leadership team as chief operating officer.

The appointment follows the recent arrival of N’s chief finance director, Jon Temple, ex-UK finance director of Pret.

Prior to joining N Family Club, Carter held the role of operations director at Bright Horizons. The group has continued to expand and recently opened its eighth location in Stratford and acquired three Outstanding nurseries in Surrey. The group also announced an additional three locations will open this Autumn in Angel, Balham and Tunbridge Wells, with several more locations planned in the coming months.

Speaking of Carter’s new role, chief exec Phil Sunderland said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Simone to our leadership team during what is a transformative year for N Family Club. Having Simone on board to maintain the strength of our operations whilst we scale up is crucial. She shares N’s passion for putting our families and team at the heart and centre of everything we do and brings a wealth of operational experience to the team.”

Carter brings with her an education career spanning 30 years. Her experience of rising through the ranks, from a childcare practitioner to a director, has given her a broad perspective, and in 2015 she was recognised by NMT as “Operational Manager of the Year”.
