Montessori by Busy Bees in High Wycombe opens

A new Busy Bees Montessori nursery has opened in Loudwater, High Wycombe, providing care and early years education for 85 children, aged 3 months to 5 years.

Situated within a recently renovated three-storey listed building, Montessori by Busy Bees at High Wycombe, on Boundary Road, offers a stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to grow and develop.

The nursery supports children with self-directed learning, independent exploration, and collaborative play in line with the Montessori method of teaching, originally developed by Maria Montessori.

Nitin Jain, managing director at Montessori by Busy Bees, said: “We are so proud to officially open our stunning new nursery, offering parents in High Wycombe the opportunity to discover more about the Montessori teaching method. Our Montessori nursery in High Wycombe is now our flagship centre in the UK, boasting a generous garden area and three floors with dedicated rooms tailored to the needs of each age group.

“We’ve had a fantastic couple of days celebrating our official opening, alongside our extraordinary team of educators who cannot wait to show parents inside our beautiful home-from-home environment and provide children with the best start in life.”

The centre also aims to encourage sustainable travel options through the provision of a cycle rack for staff and parents, electric vehicle (EV) charging points for staff and a buggy store for parents who walk to drop-off/pick-up their children.

Lisa Humphreys, centre director at Montessori by Busy Bees at High Wycombe, said: “I’m delighted to be part of the team here at High Wycombe as we welcome the first families through our doors. It’s such a privilege to be able to share the Montessori method of teaching with the community.

“Now that we are officially open, we are looking forward to inviting families in to meet our special team of educators who are dedicated to providing a warm, safe, nurturing environment to support each child to reach their full potential.”

Montessori by Busy Bees blends the Montessori programme with elements from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
