Nursery group raises more than £4,800 for Children in Need

Nurseries across The Old Station Nursery Group have raised £4,852.05 for Children in Need.

The funds were collected across the group through a series of creative and fun fundraising activities, including cake sales, pyjama days, bake-offs, and themed dress-up events.

Hdc Day Nursery Dartmouth led the way by raising £1,455.71, through two sponsored walks, one with the residents of The Fleet Care Home, sponsored discos and a cake sale.

Natasha Slade, nursery manager at Dartmouth, said: “We are so proud of our fundraising efforts this week and our little superstars who took part in the sponsored walk. Our families have been so supportive and generous, helping us to reach our huge total for such a worthy cause. We would also like to thank our friends at The Fleet Care home for joining us on our walk and donating to the final total. What a week!”

Other nurseries also contributed significantly, with The Old Station Nursery Taplow raising £910, Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Elvington generating £175, and hdc Day Nursery Dartington collecting £550, along with many more nurseries raising over £60 each.
