Grandir UK devotes month to appreciating employees
Nursery group Grandir UK dedicated the month of May to recognising and rewarding the hard work, dedication and focus of its employees.
The May I Say Thank You initiative included regional Grand Award ceremonies, with nine awards voted for by employees across more than 80 settings and the Hampshire-based support office.
During the month team managers showed their appreciation to staff with activities and events including “build your own milkshake” stations, special staff breakfasts, pizza lunch parties and goodie bags.
Grandir UK aligns its staff appreciation month with Mental Health Awareness week, which took place this year between 13 and 19 May, to highlight how gratitude can contribute to positive mental health and wellbeing for staff.
Gemma Goodman, head of HR at Grandir UK, said: “At Grandir UK, our people are our greatest asset. It’s incredibly important to us that we dedicate an entire month to demonstrating our appreciation for how much the passion, hard work and commitment of our teams make Grandir UK an inspiring place to be.”
