Mama Bear gifts employees with special treat

South West nursery group Mama Bear’s has celebrated the hard work of its employees with a special treat box to show their appreciation.

Employees at Mama Bear’s settings across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon received the surprise box filled with treats from the management who wanted to say ‘thank you’ for all their hard work.

The box was accompanied by a heartfelt poem and staff were encouraged to come together to celebrate the day and enjoy the treats as a team, a gesture which was well received by employees.

Mama Bear’s owner Tony Driffield, said: “Working in childcare over the past couple of years has been no mean feat. Our employees were key workers throughout the pandemic, taking care of children so their parents could work and ensuring that children had a safe, clean and fun environment to come to.

“Add to this the ongoing industry-wide shortage in childcare staff and it’s clear to see that these practitioners and support staff deserve a big ‘thank you’.

“We appreciate the hard work, passion and loyalty we have seen from all our employees and so wanted to honour them with this surprise. It’s a small gesture but we hope it brightened their day.”

The family-run Mama Bear’s Day Nurseries are aimed at providing children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
