Maggie & Rose appoint new education & curriculum director

Maggie & Rose nurseries has appointed Lucy Prew as education & curriculum director

In her role, Lucy leads the curriculum, pedagogy and operations of Maggie & Rose’s nurseries, as well as the in-club classes, combining the very best of child development theory with Maggie & Rose’s established creative method to deliver Early Years Foundation Stage outcomes.

Lucy started off her career as a nursery nurse at Foxdenton Special School and Integrated Nursery,
before securing roles as a play therapist and curriculum coordinator at social care services, Stockport
and subsequently centre manager at Berwickshire Children’s Centre.

Combining her love for travel with a passion for early years education, Lucy then moved overseas to
continue expanding her knowledge and to challenge herself in a private education setting. As an early
intervention coordinator at Newton British School Doha, Qatar, she worked closely with parents and
teachers to provide intervention strategies that identify and support children who need it most.

Additionally, Lucy has held several pivotal roles, such as centre director and country manager, at Birth
and Beyond PTE group, an integrated centre of early years, special education and childbirth education.
In these roles she worked in both Nigeria and Singapore, mastering operation and centre management
along with curriculum coordination.

In recent roles, including centre director at Drayton Lakes Children’s Centre and education and
activity director at Cloud Twelve Club Notting Hill, Lucy specialised and excelled further in the area
of curriculum development, specifically for early years.

With over twenty years of experience in the field, Lucy uses her expertise on pedagogic practices in
early years development to drive forward the Maggie & Rose Method, which centres on curiosity and
blends Montessori, Reggio and HighScope approaches with Maggie & Rose’s own bespoke creative
curriculum.
