Little Muffins setting moves to new and improved location
This month Little Muffins Nursery welcomed local MP Andy Slaughter, parents, and other guests to an event celebrating their relocation to fantastic new premises.
Guests at the event enjoyed a full tour of the new nursery, fantastic activity demonstrations from the nursery team, refreshments and a complementary goodie bag with a range of gifts and resources for families to enjoy
Little Muffins Nursery, a private day care provider situated at 314 King Street on the borders of Chiswick and Hammersmith, has served the local community’s childcare needs for 8 years at its current home, but is delighted to be moving just a short distance away to 334-336 King Street. The newly acquired site comes with nearly 2500 square feet of beautiful garden for children to enjoy and explore.
Susan Emery, nursery manager, said:
‘We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to care for so many children over the years in the beautiful environment we have created at 314 King Street, and the opportunities the location of the building has afforded us to fully experience and positively contribute to our local community. The lack of outdoor space at our current premises has never dampened either our enthusiasm for outdoor learning, or our implementation of this crucial part of the curriculum, and our staff and children can often be seen on outings in the community. However, for some time we have considered that the addition to our outdoor curriculum of freely accessible open space would significantly enhance opportunities for teaching and learning at our nursery. This is, therefore, something we have long hoped to add to the already wonderful experiences our children have here at Little Muffins Nursery. We are absolutely delighted to now be making this a reality.’
The nursery provides fantastic care and education to its children, offering a wide range of Above and Beyond Educational Experiences and they are delighted to shortly be introducing forest school sessions at their new site.
The new premises also boasts a dedicated baby garden and a planting area where children will be able to grow their own vegetables. Children will help to harvest and prepare these vegetables before they are used by the nursery chef to prepare the children’s delicious home-cooked meals. This complements the Nursery’s Garden Champions programme (their own gardening activity which is supported by the Royal Horticultural Society’s School Gardening Awards training programme).

Company information:
Little Muffins Nursery is owned by ICP Education; a nursery company with the strategy of acquiring a collection of the very best nursery settings in Greater London, the Home Counties and the South East. Our approach is child-centred – all children engage in meaningful play in an environment that has the best equipment and resources in the sector. This means that all our children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally and gain the self-confidence required for later life.
Whilst we look to retain the ethos and name of the business after acquisition i.e., what makes the Nursery so differentiated in the first instance, we are absolutely focused on improving the environment, the childcare practice and the staff team’s skills and knowledge.
Our mission is to deliver exceptional education and outstanding childcare to our children and families, through our commitment to valuing and developing staff and providing engaging and inclusive environments for all. We will deliver this mission through Our Core Values – integrity, excellence, teamwork, dedication, and equality.
Dominic Harrison, chief exec of ICP Education said:
‘We are thrilled to be relocating Little Muffins. It is a small move locally but a big step forward for Susan Emery, Nursery Manager and her team. They will thrive in completely refurbished premises and, in particular, with the addition of a fabulous garden which the previous premises lacked. We have always been very proud of the quality of the care and education Susan provides and it was an easy decision to back this move. Feedback from parents has been enormously positive and the children just love their new nursery.’
