Little Lambs Nursery sold to local operators
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Little Lambs Nursery in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Little Lambs Nursery is an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ children’s day nursery with the capacity to care for up to 50 children aged nought to five years. The business operates from a beautifully converted, extended detached property which is located within the densely populated town of Bolton in Greater Manchester.
Since 2018, it has been owned and operated by Carly Morrison.
Following a sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, and with funding sourced through Christie Finance, Little Lambs Nursery has been purchased by Gourav and Priyanka Batra of The Ark Experience Ltd. This is the pair’s fourth nursery acquisition.
Carly Morrison, former owner of Little Lambs Nursery, commented: “Despite the challenges of the current climate, we were able to find potential buyers swiftly. Sofia’s advice and guidance were greatly appreciated, and the approach was very personal. Selling our nursery was a hugely emotional experience and we couldn’t have done it without the team at Christie & Co.”
Gourav Batra, managing director at The Ark Experience Ltd, stated: “Little Lambs is a very special nursery that delivers care that is bespoke for each child. We are very excited to have the nursery be part of our family. This is a phenomenal, outstanding setting with a culture that is centred around children which aligns perfectly with ours, and we look forward to supporting the team, children, and parents. This is our fourth nursery as the business has grown from our first nursery The Ark and Space after-school club in 2015.”
Sofia Beck, director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, added: “I’m very grateful to Carly for choosing us to assist her with the sale of Little Lambs. The transaction itself was not without its challenges which I believe, in part, reflects the current changing market. In bank-funded cases, we are experiencing longer deal times currently due to several contributing factors. With this in mind, I’d stress the importance of seeking the right advice from the offset if you’re considering the sale of your business.”
Little Lambs Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
