King’s College London partners with Busy Bees
King’s College London has partnered with Busy Bees nursery to provide discounted childcare for employees
Staff at King’s are eligible for 20% off childcare at the childcare and nursery provider and will also have access to one week of free childcare after three months and will not need to pay any enrolment fees. The discount is available at any Busy Bees nursery in the UK.
This is the first time Busy Bees has partnered with a university to offer discounted childcare services to staff.
Lorraine Kelly, director of organisational development, and equality, diversity and inclusion at King’s College London, said: “We are delighted to be the first university to partner with Busy Bees. We know that the cost of childcare can be a barrier to entering or returning to the workplace and whilst this is a complex challenge and there is still more to do to address this barrier and others, this partnership will play a helpful role in reducing the cost burden for colleagues.”
Antony Morrison, business sales director for Busy Bees at Work, said: “We are proud to partner with the distinguished King’s College London to support their working parents.
“Right from the initial conversations with the King’s team, we could see the organisation’s commitment to its people, and it quickly became clear that Busy Bees’ nursery locations made us the perfect partner to deliver the quality childcare needed to support their families.
“The fact that the partnership saw almost immediate enrolments indicates that this was indeed a much needed and welcomed employee benefit.”
