Kindred Nurseries purchases Cambridgeshire nursery group

Day nurseries and pre-schools group Kindred Nurseries has purchased HRH Nurseries group in Cambridgeshire through business property adviser, Christie & Co.

The group was established in 1991 by director, Mrs Glenda Perrott. HRH Nurseries has three childcare settings with an operating capacity for 320 children.

The group has grown in size and reputation and was the first privately run nursery in Cambridgeshire to get an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.

Kindred Nurseries chief exec, Ruth Pimentel, said: “We are thrilled to welcome HRH nurseries into the Kindred family and to extend our reach into Cambridgeshire. We have got to know Glen and her family well as we worked through this process. She wanted to be confident that the staff, the families, and the children would be well looked after, and we gave her our assurance that they would be a valued part of our group. We are very much looking forward to getting to know them and would like to thank everyone who has been involved in making this sale happen.”

Nick Brown, head of brokerage at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, commented: “It has been a pleasure working with Glen, her husband David and their daughter Charlotte on this sale. When meeting Glen for the first time, it was clear that she cares passionately about the children and nursery staff at her settings, but the time was right for Glen and her family to take a step back after all these years in the sector and I am delighted to have been able to help them achieve a successful retirement sale.

“Kindred will undoubtedly build on what Glen has achieved over the years and I’m sure we’ll see this group continue to thrive and expand.”

HRH Nurseries group was sold at an undisclosed price.
