Kilimanjaro: Kids Planet chief executive completes ‘amazing adventure’
Kids Planet chief executive, Clare Roberts, has successfully completed her mission after setting out with a group of local women to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the Warrington Youth Zone
Clare said: “We have had the most amazing adventure climbing up Kilimanjaro, trekking for seven days and sleeping in tents for six nights.
“It has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but as a group we all worked together to make sure all of us made it to the summit in Africa of 5895m.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to Warrington Youth Zone. Your donations will make a massive difference to the young people of Warrington.”
With the summit now complete, the Kids Planet group is keen to keep raising money for the cause and support the troops efforts. There have been lots of events ongoing, and our nurseries efforts have helped raise over £2,300.
Many of the nurseries, head office and the training academy team from across the whole of the UK have been taking part in activities and events, included explorer weeks, sports days, keeping fit week, baking, and much more.
The total raised so far on the expeditions fundraising Just Giving Page is £24,019. To donate to the Warrington Youth Zone, please follow link: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/WYZKili
