A significant addition to the regeneration of Stanley Square has been unveiled with the opening of a new Kids Planet nursery. This marks a significant milestone in the successful revitalisation of the town centre.

With over 170 locations across the UK, Kids Planet’s new 6,000 sq. ft. location offers an enriching space for child development. The nursery has been equipped with a sensory room and landscaped gardens, creating a nurturing environment for young learners.

Addressing the needs of local families, Kids Planet offers government-funded and tax-free childcare places. The inclusion of essentials such as nappies, baby formula, and wipes in the nursery fees also demonstrates a commitment to providing accessible and convenient services to the community.

With 109 nursery places on offer, the new addition is expected to create 20 to 30 new jobs. It joins the increasing list of family-friendly offerings in Stanley Square, such as childcare drop-off service Let Loose and family art café Bean and Brush.

The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Dolores O’Sullivan attended the event. Councillor O’Sullivan cut the ribbon to officially open the nursery’s doors and gave families a tour of the new space.

Kids Planet chief executive, Clare Roberts stated: “We are overjoyed to open Kids Planet in the vibrant area of Sale. Katy Vanden will be the nursery manager, bringing our Kids Planet approach to our brand-new setting and ensuring an enabling environment where children can explore, learn, and play.”

Speaking about the new setting and the benefits to the community it will bring, director of Altered Space, Michael Brown, said: “The successful redevelopment of Sale town centre has been instrumental in attracting a variety of businesses over the past three years. The continuous increase in foot traffic and the addition of new tenants like Kids Planet are testament to Stanley Square’s evolution into a thriving community hub.”

The town centre, regenerated by developer and asset manager, Altered Space, garnered Sale recognition as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Live 2023.
