Kids Planet Clayton’s food bank appeal
The team at Kids Planet Clayton in Bradford are collecting food to donate to local food bank, Bradford Central Foodbank. Kids Planet nurseries are passionate about working in the community.
Having asked families if they are able to and would like to donate, the nursery have had a great response, with parents even sending in pictures of children shopping for donations.
Shannon Low, manager at Kids Planet Clayton, said:
“This is important to us; our foodbank network helps people break free from poverty by providing additional support to help resolve the crises they’re facing. Our aim is to enable families to not need to use a foodbank again in the future. Not only that, doing this really brings the community and our families together, as well as being a truly valuable learning experience for the children.”
The Clayton team puts a large emphasis on home learning, and also currently have introduced ‘Home learning packs’. Recently they have given the children the opportunity to enjoy autumn themed play, having put together playdough packs to allow children to come up with their own creations at home with their families.
