Kids Planet acquires Edgbaston Kindergarten
Kids Planet group has acquired Edgbaston Kindergarten, a Birmingham-based nursery setting.
Edgbaston Kindergarten expands Kids Planet’s existing presence in Birmingham, joining five other nurseries in the area and making Kids Planet a group of 138 nurseries across the UK.
Set in a large, Victorian property, with plenty of outdoor space, the Edgbaston Kindergarten team is passionate about promoting early education and self-confidence, providing a high level of care and stimulation in a family style setting.
Clare Roberts, chief executive at Kids Planet Day Nurseries, said:
“I am delighted to welcome the Edgbaston Kindergarten team into the Kids Planet family, developing an even stronger support network within Birmingham, alongside our leading nurseries in that area.
Their approach is complementary to our own values around awe and wonder and the importance of outdoor learning, so we are excited to have them onboard.”
Anna Jacobs, previous owner at Edgbaston Kindergarten, said:
“Passing the responsibility of running my beloved nursery onto new owners was something that had caused me concern, but Kids Planet share an ethos and a passion for quality childcare. They are a great home for the children and they offer excellent opportunities for the team.
“I can sleep easy knowing the nursery is in good hands. I had been let down by another buyer earlier this year, leaving me disheartened. Kids Planet stepped in, were a pleasure to deal with throughout and delivered on their word.”
