Website Snapdragons Nursery
Early Years Daycare
Job description
The post is full time (4 x 08:00-18:00 shifts per week) We offer an attractive salary of £28,000 per annum with flexible interview dates available.
You have proven yourself as a Head of Room, now it is time for the next step in your career progression. The Unit Co-Ordinator leads several rooms for a specific age group consistently and effectively. With your impeccable interpersonal skills, you can step into this exciting and challenging role and communicate the importance of resilience and a can-do attitude within your setting. Be it safeguarding or personal development, you are well equipped to role model what is expected of your team. Using your sharp eye for detail, you can identify training needs for individual team members, and will utilise the appropriate training resources to ensure your team are running as effectively as possible. At the forefront of your practice is the experience of the children within your setting. You will ensure that all environments are safe, nurturing, and enriching, forming steadfast relationships with both the children and their parents/carers to further their growth and development.
You must have a minimum of Level 3 qualification specific to Early Years as defined by the Department for Education. (http://www.education.gov.uk/eypqd/search/search.cfm) You must also have a minimum of two years post qualifying experience.
Snapdragons Redland is in a leafy residential conservation area surrounded by greenery, including two children’s parks on the doorstep. Toddlers and preschool children occupy one building each in two beautiful Victorian villas linked by a modern glass atrium. The babies have their own Baby Pod, a single level modern building with access to its own garden areas alongside the main garden. As with all our nurseries the interiors are furnished with natural wooden furniture and high-quality resources to stimulate curiosity and open-ended play. There is a stunning children’s kitchen and bistro dining area and a hall equipped with a stage and indoor climbing feature. This is our largest nursery with capacity for 200 children aged 0-5 years so you will find career opportunities and progression within the large staff team, as well as lots of friends. There is some limited staff parking, but the nursery is very well served by public transport with buses running regularly along all the nearby routes, as well as being just 2 minutes from Redland train station with local lines and a link to Temple Meads.
