Genesis Day Care Nursery, a group of two well-established settings based in Greater Manchester, has been sold by Redwoods Dowling Kerr.

The Milnrow setting is close to Rochdale town centre and has been occupied by Karen Bingham since 2004. The nursery is ideally positioned within a densely populated area and attracts parents from the immediate locality.

It has earned an excellent reputation for providing the highest levels of childcare within a warm and secure environment.

It enjoys excellent reviews ensuring regular referrals and recommendations with historically healthy occupancy levels and was rated as “Good” by Ofsted in 2017.

The second setting is situated in Rochdale town centre and was acquired in 2008. It has built up a well-established reputation, demonstrating an excellent trading history with healthy occupancy levels. The nursery was rated “Good” by Ofsted in 2016 and operates from a purpose-built property has been updated throughout its time in occupation.

Both settings provide quality childcare from three months through to five years of age, as well as offering a popular holiday club for children up to the age of 12.

Having established two extremely popular nurseries in Rochdale, the vendor wished to sell Genesis Day Care Nursery as they wanted a change in direction.

After several viewings, the business was sold to Nick Porter, a corporate buyer who wants to invest and grow Genesis Day Care Nursery even further.

Upon completion of the sale, the buyer said: ‘We received fantastic support from RDK and in light the Covid-19 outbreak.
