Nursery group First Friends has opened a setting in partnership with Denmead Infant and Junior School in Waterlooville, Hampshire.

The nursery will provide early years education and care for 35 children aged from six months to five years.

First Friends was selected after a rigorous tender process, with Denmead Infant and Junior School citing the nursery group’s approach and shared values as key factors in the decision.

Louise Hayes, managing director of First Friends, said: “Our ethos is built on creating warm, inclusive environments where every child can flourish, and we are excited to bring this vision to the Denmead community. This partnership represents an incredible opportunity to provide families with a high-quality early years experience, and we can’t wait to welcome children and families to our new setting.”

Rachelle Tomkins, head teacher of Denmead Junior School, said: “First Friends’ dedication to nurturing children in a caring, stimulating environment stood out to us during the tender process. Its approach aligns perfectly with our values, and this nursery will be an excellent addition to our school community. We look forward to working closely with First Friends to support local families and help children build strong foundations for their future education.”
