Book ahead for Froebel lecture
Many nurseries are incorporating a Froebel approach. There are free online tickets available for this year’s Froebel Trust Autumn Lecture on creativity and play in childhood, which will take place on 5 October. The guest speaker is Professor Tina Bruce CBE – renowned for her extensive work in the early childhood sector.
Animal awareness days
It’s all about the animals this week – International Cat Day on August 8, World Lion Day on August 10 and World Elephant Day on August 12. Awareness days are not only great for inspiring play ideas, you can also use them as a hook for promoting your setting on social media. “Did you know it’s World Lion Day? Our preschoolers have been pracisting their lion roars!”
