Don’t miss out! We’ll help you plan the next seven days with our round-up of everything that’s happening in the early years sector.
Celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day
Outdoor Classroom Day takes place on 2 November, with the aim of making time outdoors part of every child’s day. Access some early years focused resources from Landscapes 4 Learning, including “leaf snap”, disappearing paintings, and taking a sound walk. Or take the opportunity to improve your outdoor environment using Startwell Birmingham’s free audit tool which covers everything from access, clothing, equipment, space, and inventive ideas for creating new learning opportunities
Mark Fertility Week 2023
One in six people in the UK face fertility issues. National Fertility Awareness Week, 30 October to 5 November, aims to make sure everyone on a fertility journey can access the support they need. Take a look at Fertility Network’s Fertility in the Workplace initiative which offers free training to help managers in small and medium businesses support their teams, as well as downloadable resources such as posters and fact sheets.
Happy Halloween!
You don’t need telling that 31 October is Halloween – from dressing up to special food to themed activities, nurseries have got it covered. But have you thought about using Halloween to boost staff wellbeing? Echoes Day Nursery recently introduced the Gratitude Pumpkin to help the team think about what makes them happy.
