Software platform Famly rebrands

A new logo, new app experience, website and amplified mission for software platform Famly is helping to bring their vision for better early childhood to life.

Software platform Famly has relaunched themselves as an early childhood platform, bringing with it a new logo, new experience in the app, and a new mission.

“We want to keep being a place for staff and families to collaborate around the child, not a simple database tool with connectedness as an afterthought,” said Famly chief exec and founder Anders Laustsen.

“This idea of being an early childhood platform really resonates with us because everything that we do is ultimately about improving things for the children at the centre of it all, and that starts with bringing the grownups who care about them even closer.”

Across the UK over 4800 sites and 65,000 staff use Famly to help run their setting every day. That includes 1000s of single settings, as well as large groups like Bright Horizons, Kiddi Caru, Spring, Kindred, and Early Years Alliance.

This shift also coincides with a new logo, keeping Famly’s well-known heart and purple colour, but introducing a more playful ‘home’ theme. The home in the new logo represents that Famly is one place for connecting the grown-ups in a young child’s life – both the ones at their ‘first home’ and their ‘home-away-from-home’ at their early years setting.

“We wanted a new look that represented what Famly is about now – being the best collaborative early childhood platform out there.” said director of brand, Matt Arnerich. “We wanted a logo full of intention, that’s simple, playful, and ultimately represents what we do for our customers – connecting the different homes in a young child’s life.”

How is the platform changing?

This new look and mission is coinciding with the launch of a whole new dashboard-style home screen for Famly called Famly Home. The new dashboard is a big level up for Famly in terms of helping educators and managers to stay on top of everything, because it centralises live insights and information from the platform in one place.

Ratios and medication, notifications and to-dos, important reminders like upcoming child birthdays can all now be found in one place without having to click about.

“Famly started out to solve a specific problem – providing a digital way for families to communicate and share information with their nursery or ‘børnehave’, here in Denmark,” said Anders Laustsen. “As we added financial and admin features like invoicing, reporting, payments, and more, we’ve realised that what made Famly special was still putting collaboration at the heart of those features too.

“Because whether it’s an invoice, a staff rota, or a photograph, what we’re doing is helping people to connect, share information smarter, and work together for the good of the child that they all care for together.”
