Bright Horizons’ Eldonians Day Nursery and Preschool in Liverpool has been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted following its most recent inspection. The report praises the nursery practitioners, leadership, and the curriculum.

The nursery received its inspection on 4 October with all categories passing with the ‘outstanding’ status. Ofsted reports on four key categories; quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.

The inspection was carried out through various tasks including observing the interactions between practitioners and children as they undertook activities. Comments from the report included: 

• “Children truly receive an incredible start to their early education at this nursery. The unwavering dedication from leaders and staff ensures children are always at the very heart of everything they do.”
  
• “Highly skilled staff implement the curriculum exceptionally well. They have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how children learn.”
   
• “Leader’s dedication to providing high-quality care and education for children and families is truly inspiring. They work tirelessly to ensure staff are trained and supported to offer a remarkable quality of education to children.”

Amanda McCleary, nursery manager at Eldonians, said: “I am delighted that the inspector acknowledged that children receive an incredible start to early education in our nursery and that our highly skilled team implement our curriculum exceptionally well. The children’s attention and concentration skills far exceeded expectation for their age, so I am extremely proud.”
