East Midlands nursery group sold
Coulter-Consulting, specialist nursery brokers/consultants, are pleased to announce the sale of Rushcliffe Day Nurseries Limited after short and highly confidential sales process.
The Rushcliffe group comprises three large day nurseries, all in the East Midlands. The locations are West Bridgford, Radcliffe -On -Trent and Ruddington Nottinghamshire.
The group has a combined capacity for nearly 300 children and includes a highly popular forest school facility. Occupancy levels are exceptionally high in all three sites. The children have access to extensive grounds and weekly visits are arranged to local woodlands as part of the forest school curriculum. Standards of childcare are very high across the board, made possible by an experienced and reliable workforce. Two nurseries have been awarded Ofsted “outstanding” and one awarded “Good”.
Anne Prescott the seller started the business from scratch 23 years ago. Anne who is a qualified nurse, made a change in career path in 1999 when she opened her first nursery in Ruddington followed by Radcliffe- On -Trent and then Ryan House West Bridgford. Andrew Commented “for 23 years Anne has, “given her all” to the business and to providing outstanding childcare with true passion.
Andrew further commented: “ I am very aware that the prospect of embarking on a potentially complex sale process was daunting for Anne and therefore taking the first step by contacting me was a hard decision. My brief was to find a suitable buyer, whilst bearing in mind that speed and simplicity were key. The process was therefore targeted and highly confidential so as to avoid disruption for staff and parents. The vast majority of staff are very long standing and loyal employees so understandably it has been an emotional time for Anne. But it was the right time to sell and I am confident that Grandir UK will offer excellent career progression opportunities for the staff.”
Anne Prescott commented: ”My nursery teams have been like extended family for 23 years, so leaving them is a wrench. However, I know that they will be better supported by a fresh team of passionate experts.
“Selling my business was made a lot easier with the support of Andrew Coulter, it was a personal rather than corporate experience.
“I wish everyone the best of everything in the future.”
