Kids Planet acquires Do Re Mi nursery in Durham
Kids Planet has acquired Do Re Mi nursery in Durham, taking the group to 155 nurseries across the UK.
The setting is an inspiring and imaginative place to give children the best possible learning opportunities, and aligns with the Kids Planet Approach.
Clare Roberts, chief executive at Kids Planet Day Nurseries, said:
“I am pleased to welcome Do Re Mi nursery into the Kids Planet family. Their ethos focuses entirely on the children and on relationships with families, and I see lots of similarities with Kids Planet’s own approach. The nursery will strengthen our presence in the North East area, and I look forward to supporting the team and families as they join our group.”
Dr Jane Todd, former owner of Do Re Mi nursery, said:
“Do Re Mi has been a very important part of my family’s life. We set it up from scratch, all our three children have attended, we have expanded twice, achieved an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted and awarded the Curiosity Approach Accreditation. I am so proud of these achievements and in particular the amazing team who are so hard-working and passionate about early years education.
“It has been an incredibly hard decision to pass on the baton but we know we found the right buyer in Kids Planet. From the outset, Kids Planet put us at ease and we are confident they are the best people to continue the high-quality care and education that has been instilled, look after our team and families, and take the nursery to the next level.”
