Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, has announced the freehold sale of a group of two day nursery settings in Cheshire, trading as Headstart Childcare.

Established in 2002 by three dedicated sisters, Joanne Longden, Lesley Farrell and Karen Lancaster. Headstart Childcare comprises two private day nurseries, Headstart Nursery Upton and Headstart On The Hill. Both operate from equally charming former school premises positioned in affluent trading locations and provide exceptional early years’ experiences for children aged nought to 11 years. The nurseries are well known and highly regarded within their local and wider communities and have a combined effective operating capacity for 204 children.

Following a confidential sales process with Sofia Beck at Christie & Co, the business has been purchased by Bright Stars which has a growing portfolio of 100 settings across the country.

Joanne Longden, one of the previous owners, commented: “After nearly 22 years of providing high-quality childcare, my two sisters and I are pleased to announce the sale of our two nurseries in Chester to Bright Stars. We have had an amazing journey, and we leave the business with many fond memories. Headstart Childcare was sold for an undisclosed price.
