Care group acquires nursery and nursing home

Church Farm Care has acquired Little Wrens Nursery and Preschool and Wren Hall Nursing Home in Nottinghamshire, with support from full-service law firm Shakespeare Martineau.
Little Wrens Nursery shares a garden with Wren Hall Nursing Home and has a strong focus on intergenerational learning.
Founded in 1989 by Dr and Mrs Kesari and led for more than three decades by their daughter, Anita Astle, Wren Hall has grown from a small family-run home into an internationally recognised centre for outstanding dementia care.
Astle said: “Handing over the reins has been one of the hardest decisions of my life. But it’s the right one. Wren Hall needs reinvestment and fresh energy to carry on delivering exceptional care for future generations.
“I’m absolutely confident that Patrick and Lucy Atkinson of Church Farm Care share our values and vision. They understand what makes Wren Hall special and I know they will nurture its legacy while taking it to the next level.”
Church Farm Care operates four care homes across Nottinghamshire and shares Wren Hall’s ethos of building close-knit, inclusive communities. Patrick Atkinson, director of Church Farm Care, said: “We will continue doing what we do best, as well as taking on the new challenge that comes with not only taking on an additional home but also a nursery and preschool. We look forward to combining the knowledge and experience of both teams to drive forward exceptional standards of specialist care.”
