Cairneagle launches operators’ survey
The early years sector is struggling to attract and retain qualified workers and the workforce crisis is driving prices up for families
Across the UK we are now trying to navigate through a significant rise in the cost of living and a continued housing crisis which is directly impacting the cost and access to childcare.
Cairneagle has launched an operators survey to further understand the issues impacting the sector.
Arun Kanwar, partner at Cairneagle said:
“We last surveyed the sector in December 2021, and much has changed since then. While we move towards more normalcy in regards to the pandemic, unforeseen issues have emerged (e.g., the Ukraine war, economic and political uncertainty, high inflation and the energy crisis) and some previous issues, in particular the staffing shortage, have become even more challenging.
“Therefore, we thought that it would be a good time to survey the sector again. Unlike previous surveys, we wanted to focus on a smaller number of key issues.”

Please note Cairneagle will be sharing its analysis of the results with respondents. Individual responses will not be published and will be presented in aggregate.
