Children and staff at Busy Bees Wirral Irby are celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating, following an Ofsted inspection
This is the nursery’s second ‘Outstanding’ result. The Ofsted inspector commented that the children “thrive and make exceptional progress in this exciting and inviting environment”. The nursery gained an ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, where it was also commented that children are “incredibly imaginative and creative” and “develop independence skills from a very early age”.
The staff at the nursery were recognised for creating a “language-rich environment that ignites children’s curiosity, creativity and imagination” and that “staff are highly skilled at adapting their teaching to meet the children’s interest”.
The team was also praised for having an “in-depth understanding of children’s learning needs and consistently deliver an extensive range of excellent activities”.
Child inclusivity was also given a special mention as Ofsted highlighted that “children are cared for in a highly inclusive setting that celebrates the children’s individuality” and that “children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are exceptionally well supported” with staff working “closely with other professionals to ensure that children receive continuous support and guidance”.
Ofsted also praised the nursery’s partnership with parents and parents are “complimentary about the care and support provided to their children” and are “delighted with the amazing progress they have made”.
Kate Morse, centre director at Busy Bees Wirral Irby, said: “I can’t express enough how incredibly proud I am of my team. They work hard every day to provide the children with quality activities in an environment where they feel safe and secure.
