Busy Bees Colchester welcomes Will Quince MP

An Ofsted-outstanding nursery in Colchester welcomed Will Quince, MP for Colchester.

Busy Bees nursery in Colchester, located on Phoenix Square, welcomed the MP on Friday 11 March for a tour of the facilities and an insight into the children’s learning and development.

He was shown around the nursery by Marg Randles OBE, who co-founded Busy Bees Nurseries in 1984, and the nursery team, before finding out more about Unleashing Potential (UP), Busy Bees’ very own digital learning and development programme.

Appointed as Minister for Children and Families in September 2021, Will Quince has an avid interest in the early years sector. With a young family of his own, he is passionate about the need for greater investment into early years.

Following his visit to Busy Bees Colchester, Will Quince MP, said: “It was wonderful to meet the Busy Bees team in Colchester. It rightly deserves its high Ofsted rating, which is a testament to all the hard work that goes into making the nursery a wonderful place for children to learn and develop. I really enjoyed seeing the children involved in so many different activities based on their interests.”

Emma Braddy, assistant manager at Busy Bees Colchester Phoenix Square, added: “It was a privilege to welcome Will Quince MP to our nursery and show him some of the fantastic facilities we have at the nursery. We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to share our ideas on how we can continue to give children the best start in life.”
