Busy Bees Chatham nursery celebrates fourth ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating
Children and staff at Busy Bees Chatham are celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating, following an Ofsted inspection on 07 July 2022.
This is the nursery’s fourth ‘Outstanding’ result. The Ofsted inspector commented that the children “positively flourish in the nursery where they are enormously happy, settled and safe” and they are “highly engaged and stimulated as they play and learn”. The nursery gained an ‘Outstanding’ in all areas, where it was also commented that children are “highly motivated and deeply focused on tasks”.
Ofsted praised the nursery’s partnership with parents, ensuring “parents are actively involved every step of the way” and they are “positively welcomed into the nursery” with staff sharing “regular and meaningful information to extend and challenge children’s knowledge and skills”.
The staff at the nursery were also recognised for being “sympathetic and empathetic practitioners” and “working seamlessly with parents to provide emotional support and a curriculum specifically tailored to the needs of every child”.
The staff were also praised for “developing superb learning opportunities and activities that complement and extend children’s interests and skills” and placing a strong emphasis on “promoting children’s self-confidence and independence skills”.
Child inclusivity was also given a special mention as Ofsted highlighted that “staff create a wonderful inclusive nursery that celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of the children and their families”.
Toni Morley, centre director at Busy Bees Chatham, said: “We are over the moon to have received ‘Outstanding’ from Ofsted and what an amazing achievement to receive ‘Outstanding’ for the fourth time. Our ‘Outstanding’ result is a testament to our long-standing team who are so passionate and dedicated to providing our children with the best start in life. I am so proud of the whole team who work tirelessly to ensure that they provide the highest level of care and education to our children and families.”
