Bright Stars acquires Glasgow day nurseries
Nursery group Bright Stars has purchased two day nursery businesses in Hamilton and Clydebank, Glasgow, which together cater for up to 178 children aged from six weeks to five years.
Nursery Times at the Park is located in the Hamilton Academical Football Stadium and was opened in 2004 by Peter and Miriam Cannon and fellow director Anne Cannon.
In 2010 Miriam Cannon opened Nursery Times by the River in Clydebank. Bright Stars now owns 21 settings across Scotland.
Miriam Cannon said: “We are very confident [Bright Stars] will continue to offer the excellent level of service our families have enjoyed over the years and that they will uphold and protect the legacy we have created and leave behind.”
Stephen Booty, chairman at Bright Stars, said: “These settings have long been recognised for their outstanding commitment to early childhood education and care, thanks to the unwavering dedication of Miriam and Anne, who have built a nurturing environment over the years. We are committed to upholding the legacy that Miriam and Anne have created. Our mission is to provide high-quality childcare that fosters the growth, creativity and wellbeing of every child. We are excited to continue the tradition of excellence that these settings have established, ensuring that families in the community receive the same level of care and support they have come to trust.”
Business property advisor Christie & Co facilitated the sale.
The Nursery Times settings were sold for an undisclosed price.
