NMT Nursery Estate, Acquisition & Expansion Forum

We are delighted to announce that the 2nd  NMT Nursery Estate, Acquisition & Expansion Forum will take place in London on the 10th March 2020.

This Forum is organised by Nursery Management Today, the key Publication for owners, directors and senior management in the nursery sector nationwide. This event will follow the formula of our highly successful Nursery Agenda Events but will be specifically for Owners and Directors of Nursery Groups nationwide who are looking to add to/expand/ extend their nursery portfolio and would like to meet buying agents, banks, finance brokers, extension specialists, refurbishment companies and architects as well as insurance brokers. This is a free event. This nursery forum will allow providers to meet with these suppliers in face to face meetings during the day to discuss their requirements and see if they can do business together. As this will be a smaller and more concentrated event than our Nursery Agenda series, we are limiting the numbers to approximately 15 suppliers and 20 nursery groups which will enable both the providers and suppliers who attend during the day to see everyone and maximise their time. All the meetings will be held in a large attractive room. The suppliers will sit at specific tables and the providers move between them using a pre-arranged timetable of meetings to guide them. The meetings last fifteen minutes with five minutes ‘movement’ time and are split between the morning and afternoon with a good buffet lunch between!

What nursery personnel should attend?

Only owners and directors will be eligible to attend this free event and will benefit the most from the opportunity to meet with leading suppliers to enable them to move forward with their expansion plans. It will also offer them invaluable networking opportunities with colleagues and to join in the high level conference sessions.

The following is offered on a complimentary basis…

Pre-arranged, Focused Meetings
A key feature of this event will be the pre-arranged nursery provider/ supplier meetings lasting 15 minutes which will all take place in a single large meeting area. The suppliers stay fixed at their tables/locations while the nursery owners and directors circulate between them. Each provider commits to a minimum of 10 meetings during the course of the day. These meetings offer owners and directors a variety of opportunities to meet their requirements.

Informed, Interactive Conference Sessions
Both at the start and end of the day there is an opportunity to attend a conference session with keynote speakers which offer participants informed comment on current issues and the chance to take part in interaction.

Plenty of Networking Opportunities
The event will offer plenty of informal networking opportunities including a buffet lunch and a drinks reception. There are comfortable areas where informal meetings can take place and tea and coffee will be available throughout the event. There is free wifi throughout.

Arun Kanwar is partner at Cairneagle and he leads its childcare practice. Cairneagle, a leading independent strategy consulting firm specialising in education and transformation, has had undertaken a significant number of projects supporting investors into the early years space and corporates with their growth strategy.


John Woodward is Co-founder and President of Busy Bees childcare and Managing Director of Busy Bees Benefits. He opened his first nursery: The Rocklands in Lichfield, alongside five other teachers, in 1984. Together with the senior management team, he has developed and expanded the business to become the UKs largest childcare provider with a national network of local nurseries. An international brand has also been developed with nurseries in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Canada and Australia.
